In the 2026 budget, over 928 million GEL has been allocated for tourism development.
Compared to the previous draft version, the main changes within the Ministry's budget are as follows:
The tourism development direction has been increased by 16 million GEL and exceeds 65 million GEL;
Funding for mountain resorts has been increased by 10 million GEL;
Over 10 million GEL will be allocated for the development of innovation and technologies in Georgia, and the program's funding exceeds 156 million GEL;
An additional 7 million GEL has been allocated for subsidizing the passenger section of the railway;
The project amount for the creation of energy storage devices, financed by the Asian Development Bank, has been set at 35 million GEL. 50 million GEL has been allocated for the construction of the Anaklia deep-sea port. This was reported by the Ministry of Finance.
