Brussels Airport warned on Tuesday that a national strike against government policies as well as demonstrations in the centre of the city on May 12 may disrupt flight traffic and public transportation.
A large number of departing flights will have to be cancelled and certain arriving flights may also be disrupted, the airport said on its website.
Airlines will contact passengers directly in the coming days.
Train and bus services to and from the airport may also be impacted by the strike.
The airport operator said it regrets the inconvenience.
