A record 1,250,417 visitors were recorded in Georgia's protected areas in 2025, up nearly 13% from 2024.

These statistics point to a rising popularity of protected areas among both domestic and international tourists.

Most visited protected areas:

- Prometheus Cave – 285,883 visitors;

- Martvili Canyon – 275,475 visitors;


- Mtirala National Park – 131,271 visitors;


- Sataplia Cave – 105,389 visitors;


- Tsalka Canyon – 98,809 visitors.

Georgia saw a notable surge in tourism in 2025, with 515,188 Georgian tourists, a 12% rise from 2024. Foreign tourist numbers also climbed by 14%, totaling 735,229.

This data proves a growing demand for Georgia's protected areas significantly boosting ecotourism and the promotion of the country's natural heritage.
