Wizz Air has officially resumed direct regular flights between Tbilisi and Madrid. The inaugural flight from Kutaisi Davit Aghmashenebeli International Airport took off on Tuesday, April 29, carrying 230 passengers.
The airline will operate Tbilisi-Madrid-Tbilisi flights using an A321neo aircraft, scheduled twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
In addition to Madrid, Wizz Air also offers flights to Barcelona. In the first quarter of 2025, a total of 2,988 Georgian passengers travelled to Spain.
Currently, six airlines provide direct regular flights from Davit Aghmashenebeli Kutaisi International Airport to 32 destinations across 18 countries, with 24 of those direct routes located in Europe.
Furthermore, starting June 3, the airport will welcome a new destination: Lyon, France.
