Commercial banks operating in Georgia ended the first quarter of 2023 with a net profit of GEL 588 million that is 42% more than last year.

In  the first quarter, Bank of Georgia earned the largest net profit of GEL 280 million followed by  "TBC Bank" with a net profit of GEL 210 million. Two main players account for 83% of the net profit.

Out of 15 commercial banks in Georgia, 13 see profit, two banks suffer losses.

Net profit of commercial banks as of the first quarter of 2023 is as follows:

  • TBC Bank - 210.2 million GEL;
  • Liberty Bank - 19.4 million GEL;
  • Credo Bank - 15.17 million GEL;
  • Base Bank - 11.7 million GEL;
  • VTB Bank - 11 million GEL;
  • Procredit Bank - 10.46 million GEL;
  • Khalik Bank - 9.56 million GEL;
  • Terra Bank - 8.27 million GEL;
  • Kartu Bank - 5.5 million GEL;
  • Ish Bank Georgia - 5.1 million GEL;
  • Ziraat Bank - 2 million GEL;
  • Pasha Bank - 0.188 million GEL;
  • Peysera -  -0.211 million GEL ;
  • Silk Bank -  -0.782 million GEL.
