For many years, the stock exchange in Georgia has been operating at the bare minimum level, the volume and number of transactions does not change significantly from year to year.
In November, the total turnover of the Georgian Stock Exchange amounted to GEL 466.59 that is significantly less compared to the previous month (in October – GEL 107 754).
In the first month of 2024, only 3 deals were concluded, Liberty Bank were concluded during trading sessions. The bank’s 400,000 shares with the total value of GEL 10,000 were traded.
In 2023, only 29 deals were concluded during trading sessions, the number of shares stood at 3,804,161, the value made GEL 162,429.62. Last year only the shares of "Liberty Bank" and "Bank of Georgia" were traded. As for the statistics of previous years, the number of transactions in 2022 made 19 with the total value of GEL13,619.37.
February, June and October were the most active on the stock exchange with 5-5 deals, March-April were the most passive with no concluded deals.
