According to preliminary data, the volume of investments poured in the Georgian economy in the first quarter of 2023 amounted to $496.6 million that is 13% less than in the same period of 2022, the National Statistics Office reports.

The Netherlands ranks first by investment volumes with $239.6 million making 48.2 percent of the total FDI.

In the first quarter of 2023, the largest amount of FDI was invested in the manufacturing sector - $226.3 million (45.6% of total FDI), followed by trade - $90.7 million (18.3% ) and the transport sector - $43.3 million (8.7%).
