Today trading via Bloomberg trading platform has started at $ 1/2.5564, by 12:30 pm one dollar stood at GEL 2.5286 that is a record strengthening in the recent period.
As a result of May 10 trade, the national currency gained 4.64 tetri of its value against the US dollar, the official exchange rate was set at 1USD/ GEL 2.5294.
The lari’s rate at commercial banks is relatively different. At TBC Bank one US dollar can be bought for GEL 2.5900 and sold for GEL 2.4800. At Bank of Georgia one US dollar is sold for GEL 2.4650 and bought for GEL 2.5860.
