By 12pm one dollar stood at GEL2.7399 via Bloomberg trading platform.
According to the exchange rate set by the National Bank on October 25, the official exchange rate of the national currency was set at 1USD/ GEL 2.7198.
The exchange rate in commercial banks is relatively high. In TBC Bank, one US dollar can be bought for GEL 2.8050, and sold for GEL 2.6850.One euro can be bought for GEL 3.0380, and can be sold for GEL 2.8930. In "Bank of Georgia" one dollar can be bought for GEL 2.7900 and sold for GEL 2.6900. One euro can be bought for GEL 3.0300, and can be sold for GEL 2.8970.
As for the dollar exchange rate in the currency booths, it can be bought for 2.7400-2.8000 GEL, and sold for 2.6800-2.7000 GEL.
