As of 3 months of 2024, commercial banks operating in Georgia earned a total of GEL 155 million from currency conversion operations that is GEL 18.5 million less compared to the same period of last year.

As per the first quarter of 2024, the following banks received the most income from the exchange rate difference:


Bank of Georgia - 73.8 million GEL (74,762,000 GEL in 3 months of 2023).


TBC Bank - 64 million GEL (62 463 4283 GEL in 3 months of 2023).

Pasha Bank - 3.5 million GEL (3 762 305 GEL in 3 months of 2023).


ProCredit Bank – 3.1 million GEL (3 621 299 GEL in 3 months of 2023).


It’s worth mentioning that in the first quarter of 2024, commercial banks operating in Georgia made a net profit of 712 million GEL that is 124 million GEL more than in the same period of the previous year.
