In the III quarter of 2024, the average monthly nominal earnings in Georgia increased by 10.9 percent (201.3 GEL) compared to the same quarter of the previous year and amounted to 2 056.7 GEL.
According to the economic activity the highest monthly earnings were observed in the following fields: Information and communication – 3 976.9 Gel (increased by 0.5 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year); Construction – 3 198.2 Gel (increased by 5.4 percent); Financial and insurance activities – 3 186.6 Gel (increased by 13.5 percent); Professional, scientific and technical activities – 3 062.9 Gel (increased by 17.1 percent).
In the third quarter of 2024, the average earnings for women equaled 1 650.6 GEL, while for men, they were 2 451.0 GEL. The annual earnings growth amounted to 191.5 GEL (13.1%) for women and 217.0 GEL (9.7%) for men. In nearly all sectors of the economy, the average monthly earnings of men were higher than those of women.
In the III quarter of 2024, the average monthly earnings of employees in the business sector increased by 182.9 GEL (9.1%) and equaled 2 190.1 GEl. According to the economic activity the highest monthly earnings were observed in Information and communication (4 065.8 Gel, decreased by 0.2 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year) and Professional, scientific and technical activities (3 500.5 GEL, increased by 16.9 percent).
In the III quarter of 2024, compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the average monthly earnings of employees in the non-business and financial sector increased by 234.0 GEL (14.8%) and amounted to 1 813.5 GEL. According to the economic activity the highest monthly earnings were observed in the Financial and insurance activities.
Tbilisi and Mtskheta-Mtianeti regions are leading regions by amount of the average earnings.
