In January-November 2025, vegetable imports to Georgia soared by 26% - the National Statistics Office reports.

More specifically, in 11 months of last year, the country imported vegetables worth $77.979 million aginst $61.751 million in the same period in 2024.

It is noteworthy that the largest share of vegetable imports - 52.6% - came from Turkey. In particular, Georgia bought vegetables worth 41.053 million from this country in the reporting period of 2025. More specifically, in January-November 2025, vegetable imports to Georgia were mainly carried out from the following 5 countries:

Turkey – in the amount of 41.053 million USD;
Uzbekistan – in the amount of 10.339 million USD;
Azerbaijan – in the amount 5.899 million USD;
Iran — in the amount of 4.967 million USD;
China – in the amount of 4.693 million USD.


Apart from that, tomatoes, onions and dried legumes accounted for the largest share of imported vegetables in the first 11 months of 2025.

Specifically, during this period, the country purchased the following 10 main types of vegetables:
Tomatoes - worth 17.037 million USD;
Onions, leeks, garlic - worth 16.071 million USD;
Dried legumes - worth 12.322 million USD;
All other vegetables in total - worth 11.571 million USD;
Cucumbers - worth 8.478 million USD;
Potatoes - worth 4.410 million USD;
Carrots, turnips, beets - worth 2.271 million USD;
Lettuce and chicory - worth 1.734 million USD;
Cabbage, kohlrabi, broccoli - worth 1.614 million USD;
Frozen vegetables - worth 1.366 million USD.
