The Unit Value Index of Agricultural Products increased by 12.8 percent compared to the previous quarter. The change was mainly due to a 11.2 percent increase in the unit value of live animals and animal products, which contributed 6.25 percentage points to the total index change.
Compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year, the Unit Value Index of Agricultural Products increased by 4.8 percent. The latter was largely caused by the 6.4 percent increase in the unit value of live animals and animal products, which contributed 3.48 percentage points to the total index change. In the same period, the unit value of perennial crops went up by 5.5 percent and went down by 1.0 percent for non-perennial crops, with the relevant contribution of 1.48 and -0.18 percentage points to the total index change, respectively.
