There is a terrific dynamics in investment cooperation,” stated Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov during the opening of the 10th session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan.

According to Asadov, Azerbaijan is making significant investments in Georgia.

SOCAR is successfully carrying out its operations in Georgia. The company has consistently invested heavily in the Georgian economy and is one of the country’s largest taxpayers. Additionally, SOCAR periodically implements social projects in Georgia and will continue its activities thus far.

At the same time, we hope that the Georgian government will address certain issues regarding the activities of Azerbaijani investors in Georgia. The positive resolution of these matters will further strengthen and expand cooperation in the investment sector, as Azerbaijani investors are keen to invest even more in Georgia’s economy.

We, for our part, are creating the necessary conditions for Georgian companies to operate in the Azerbaijani market. There are over 650 companies with Georgian capital actively operating in Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani government will continue to create the conditions necessary for Georgian companies to thrive in our country,” said the Azerbaijani Prime Minister.
