According to the preliminary data, at the end of the III quarter of 2025 the number of bovine animals decreased by 3.7 percent compared to the III quarter of 2024 and reached 812.2 thousand heads. Of which, the total number of dairy cows and buffaloes equaled 389.2 thousand heads, which is 5.2 percent less than the same indicator of the previous year. The number of pigs equaled to 182.5 thousand heads which is 18.1 percent less than at the same period of the previous year. The number of poultry increased by 5.0 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and equaled 9 981.3 thousand heads.
According to the preliminary data, in the III quarter of 2025 milk production decreased by 9.1 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 156.0 million litres.
Meat production decreased by 9.0 percent from the same period of the previous year and equaled 18.1 thousand tons.
In the III quarter of 2025 egg production amounted to 170.9 million pieces which is 6.1 percent more than in the same period of the previous year.
