“We have another success in the aviation industry. Starting from May 2024, Austrian Airlines will launch flights to Georgia. We held intensive negotiations with the airline management throughout the year,”

Georgian Deputy Minister of Economy Mariam Kvrivishvili says.

According to Kvrivishvili, Georgia will perform even more flights to European cities that will further promote the country's tourism industry.

“More European visitors will arrive in the country, this will positively affect not only the tourism and aviation, but will boost economic development,” she notes.

Austrian Airlines will start the Vienna – Tbilisi – Vienna flight from May 2024.

The talks on the entry of the airline were conducted by the Ministry of Economy and the United Airports of Georgia.
