In 2024, health insurance premiums collected amounted to 534 million GEL against 447 million GEL in the previous year- the State Insurance Supervision Service reports.


According to statistics, the top five companies in terms of the volume and percentage of premiums collected in the health insurance in 2024 are as follows:

1. GPI - 125.2 million GEL (23%), in 2023 - 107.9 million, 24%;

2. Imedi L - 100 million GEL (19%), in 2023 - 78.7 million, 18%;

3. Ardi - 90.6 million GEL (17%), in 2023 - 80.8 million, 18%;

4. TBC - 52.9 million GEL (10%). In 2023 - 42.4 million, 9%;

5. IRAO - 36.6 million GEL, (7%). In 2023 - 30.6 million GEL, 7%.

20% of the population uses private health insurance.
