In January-May 2025 the external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 9 790.6 million, 13.3 percent higher year-on-year. The exports equaled 2 594.5 million (14.6 percent higher), while the imports stood at USD 7 196.1 million (12.8 percent higher). The negative trade balance was USD 4 601.6 million in January-May 2025 and its share in external trade turnover constituted 47.0 percent.

In January-May 2025 the share of the top ten trading partners by exports in the total exports of Georgia amounted to 80.4 percent. The top partners were Kyrgyzstan (USD 567.4 million), Kazakhstan (USD 330.6 million) and Azerbaijan (USD 282.3 million).

In January-May 2025 the share of the top ten trading partners by imports in the total imports of Georgia amounted to 72.2 percent. The top partners were USA (USD 1 095.9 million), Türkiye (USD 1 075.1 million) and Russia (USD 808.6 million).
