External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 6 491.0 million in January-April 2023, 21.9 percent higher year-on-year.
The value of export increased by 23.5 percent reaching USD 1 960.0 million, while the import increased by 21.2 percent and amounted to USD 4 531.0 million.
The trade deficit equaled USD 2 571.0 million and its share in trade turnover constituted 39.6 percent.
