In 2022-2023, Georgia ranks 6th among the world's hazelnut producers, as per a report by the INC International Nut & Dried Fruit Council.
During this period, the country produced 14,800 tons of unshelled hazelnuts. Georgia’s share in the global production is 3%.
As for neighboring countries, Azerbaijan ranks fourth (24,000 tons, 4%), Turkey remains the world leader with 415,300 tons, accounting for 71% in the global nut production.
