External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 7 755.7 million in January-April 2025, 15.3 percent higher year-on-year.
The value of export increased by 14.2 percent reaching USD 2 014.4 million, while the import increased by 15.7 percent and amounted to USD 5 741.3 million.
The trade deficit equaled USD 3 726.9 million and its share in trade turnover constituted 48.1 percent.
In April, exports increased by 41% year-on-year to $616 million (in April 2024- $437.2 million), while imports decreased by 3.6% to $1 billion 399 million (in April 2024, it was $1,452.3 million).
