“The project, which Eagle Hills will implement, is set to make an unprecedented contribution to boosting our economy,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told Georgian journalists in China.

As the Head of Government highlighted, this development is crucial for the country to reach an appropriate level of progress.

Poverty in our nation remains at 9.4%, having been reduced from 30%. This year, our economy is projected to surpass USD 10,000 per capita for the first time, with a total exceeding GEL 100 billion. These milestones are vital for improving the well-being and standard of living for our people. Nothing can stand in the way of this progress. Today, the state stands at the pinnacle of its capacity.

This is not the Namakhvani period, [Namakhvani Hydropower Plant project was halted amid months-long protests], when specific speculators succeeded in damaging Georgia. No political force will be able to achieve such an outcome again. These politicians will not be able to engage in such reckless speculation.

Today, the state is operating at a completely different level, and national interests will be safeguarded everywhere. This applies to hydroelectric power plants, the construction sector, or the realisation of projects in any other field. The unhindered implementation of projects will be ensured wherever it aligns with national interests. The Eagle Hills project is one of those outstanding initiatives,” the Prime Minister stated.
