With the aim of diversifying the export markets of Georgian wine, a Georgian wine tasting was held in the capital of Poland with the support of the National Wine Agency and organized by the Agency’s contractor – Polish marketing company “People PR”.

The event was attended by professionals from the HoReCa (Hotel, Restaurant, Café) sector, including sommeliers and representatives from Michelin-starred restaurants in Warsaw, in total 40 guests.

The event included a seminar on Georgian wine culture and promoting the growth of Georgian wine sales in Poland, as well as a tasting-masterclass on pairing Georgian wine with different national cuisines. Nine wines of different appellations were presented at the tasting.

The presentation of Georgian wine was led by sommelier, importer and certified HoReCa trainer Shimon Milonas, and sommelier Jan Knaber from one of the Michelin-starred restaurants.

As part of the event, a small-format Walk-around tasting was held, which was attended by six importers of Georgian wine in Poland.

The supporter of the Georgian wine presentation was the Polish Sommelier Association.

Poland represents one of the strategic markets for Georgian wine, which has sustainably established itself among the top five exporting countries of Georgian wine. With the aim of conducting a marketing campaign of Georgian wine in the Polish market, the National Wine Agency has been cooperating with the company “People PR” since 2022. During this period, stable growth in Georgian wine exports to the Polish market has been recorded. According to the data of January-October 2025, Georgian wine exports to Poland amounted to 5.7 million liters, and the growth reached 9% compared to the same period of 2024.
