"The period from December 30th to January 3rd sees a particularly high influx of tourists in the country. Demand is exceptionally strong over these five days, potentially rising by as much as 50% compared to the previous period," German Chelidze, founder and CEO of WST, says.

He adds that the majority of tourists are expected to come from Armenia and Arab nations.

The company founder notes that 2025 turned out to be better for WST than the previous one, as the company showed a 15% growth.

"Compared to the same period last year, the indicators are about the same, and there might be a growth of 3-5%. Looking at the year overall, it was definitely a better one.

When it comes to tourist segmentation, the Asian market within the country is experiencing growth. The introduction of direct flights has boosted the number of Chinese tourists. Apart from that, we are seeing a significant influx of visitors from India and Arab nations. We’d like to shift our focus more towards the European market, given that the Asian market is considerably cheaper and they really haggle over every cent. Every flow matters, though it's obvious the country is more of an Asian market these days.

"We should point out that big cultural events really bring tourists into the country. We need to focus on the larger events and direct flights," German Chelidze says.

As a reminder, the travel company World Sightseeing Tbilisi organizes both domestic and international tours.
