"We cooperate with several networks in Georgia, and only with one of them do we pay the so-called cashback, which is just 2-3%"- Zurab Gojiashvili, founder of the apple production company "Tirifoni Fruit", said during a meeting of the Parliamentary Commission for Studying Prices.
We bring apples to Gori municipality. We collaborate with several networks in Georgia and haven’t had problems with any of them. There is one network, however, to whom we pay a 2 or 3% "cashback" of the total sales value, which we believe to be quite good.
"When it comes to prices, we make everyday items, and price fluctuations are beyond our control. For the last 3 years, our production costs have remained virtually unchanged, and the average selling price has not almost gone up," Gojiashvili stresses.
During today's session, the commission members, alongside representatives of local fruit, vegetable, juice, and jam manufacturing companies, are engaged in discussions about the market structure, value chain, and operational processes in the sector.
