Turkish Shisejam Holding has poured 19.4 million euros in the development of the Ksani glass factory, as per the Georgian Ministry of Economic Development.
According to the Ministry, the investor installed new equipment at the enterprise, including modern furnaces, to increase productivity and improve quality.
According to the company representatives, the state agency “Produce in Georgia was involved in the project.
Şişecam is the only global company operating in all core areas of glass production – including flat glass, glassware, glass packaging and glass fiber. Currently, Şişecam ranks among the world’s top two manufacturers of glassware and the top five producers of glass packaging and flat glass. Şişecam is one of the three largest soda ash producers in the world and the world leader in chromium chemicals.
Şishejam bought the Georgian glass manufacturing company JSC Steklo in 1997,
the factory has been running smoothly for decades since.
Currently, the company employs 240 people, mostly the locals from nearby villages.
Shisejam Holding has more than 24,000 employees and 88 years of experience. Manufacturing operations cover 14 countries on four continents with 45 subsidiaries and sales in 150 countries.
