The Turkish-German airline SunExpress started operating in Georgia.

The airline will fly to Tbilisi International Airport from Ankara, Antalya and Izmir.

SunExpress performed the first flight in the direction of Ankara-Tbilisi today, June 5. Giorgi Janjghava, the Ambassador of Georgia to Turkey, states.

The airline will perform regular flights between the capitals of Turkey and Georgia once a week, on Mondays.

The airline carried out its first flight to Tbilisi on May 28 from Antalya, with 135 passengers on board. 156 passengers departed from Tbilisi to Antalya, by the first flight of SunExpress.

The airline will fly on the Antalya-Tbilisi route twice a week, every Thursday and Sunday.

SunExpress plans to operate on the Izmir-Tbilisi route from June 2, twice a week, every Tuesday and Saturday and from June 4.
