"Sairme" and "Akhali Sairme" hotels are already accepting bookings for 2024 - occupancy at the resort significantly exceeds last year's figures

Hotels located in the mountain resort of Sairme do not complain about the lack of bookings and have  positive expectations for the current season.

According to David Berozashvili, Head of sales & marketing and reservations at Sairme Resort, the first quarter of 2023 started well, the number of bookings is the same as in 2022.

“The pandemic has impacted  the tourism sector and our hotels are no exception. Despite the difficulties, in 2021 our both hotels reached high occupancy levels  exceeding the pre-pandemic. The start of the summer season of 2023 was  quite positively. Occupancy is the same as  last year; we are receiving bookings for 2024,” he notes.

Most visitors  are citizens of Georgia, Europe and the CIS countries. Compared to last year, the number of tourists  from the Persian Gulf countries has decreased by 70%.

The number of holidaymakers increases during the summer that affects the hotel’s occupancy. Sairme hotels complain about  qualified staff shortages as well as other tourist facilities for which  this problem is acute.
