Competition in the ice cream market is intensifying, especially as the holiday season approaches.
Recently, several Italian ice cream companies have started operating in the country and occupied their niche, despite the competition.
According to Mariam Uchaneishvili, Director of GeGelatto company, Italian ice cream is gaining its niche in the market.
“The Georgian market is quite saturated, but we produce gluten-free ice cream, which is not produced locally. We have our own niche on the market this is what sets us apart from our competitors. The Italian so-called plombir ice cream is also presented on the Georgian market. The difference is mainly in the production time. Our ice cream is made from 100% Italian ingredients and is of high quality. We cooperate exclusively with the number one company in Italy that is our guarantee of quality, ”she says.
Speaking about future plans, GeGelato CEO notes that the company is in talks with various cafes and restaurants to sell ice cream to these facilities.
She adds that despite the increase in cost, the company is not set to hike prices.
GeGelato LLC was founded in 2019. Ice Cream GeGelato owns 4 branches in the center of Tbilisi. The cafe chain offers customers up to 30 types of ice cream produced with Italian technology.
