A new skyscraper project was prepared on the site of the former film studio in Tbilisi. Georgian architectural company Stipfold posted the information on its website.

"Sodi Investment" has been working on the project on the area of the former film studio jointly  with the company LSG Solution since 2023. "Sodi Investment" was founded in 2017 by the investment fund Guibor. Former Minister of Defense Irakli Alasania holds the position of the company director.

So far, the company has not agreed development regulation plan (DRP) and has not applied to the City Hall Architecture Service, and it is known only from the renderings published by the architectural company Stipfold, according to which, the total area of ​​the project will be 32,000 square meters, the skyscraper will have 44 floors.

According to the business registry, Irakli Alasania is CEO at seven companies, including the investment and development company Kinori and Sodi Investment. The investment company is founded by French businessman Dominique Romano, who owns Guibor involved in the projects  in Georgia since 2018. One of the group's large-scale projects is a multifunctional complex on the site of a former film studio in Tbilisi, as well as the construction of a 150-room hotel and shopping center near Kutaisi International Airport. The development company Kinor has already built a residential building in Vashlijvari in Tbilisi.

According to the Cultural Heritage Agency, the former pavilion of the film studio is a cultural heritage monument. The building of the film studio pavilion will be preserved, a skyscraper will be built next to it.
