Natia Lolua, the manager of Tchrebalo Wine Cellar, positively appreciates the summer season noting that the number of visitors to the tourist facility has doubled.
According to a spokesperson for the winery, the reasons behind the surge in clientele are complex, but there is a general uptick in tourist interest in Racha. Apart from that, the winery's restaurant now features a second room, enabling them to accommodate more customers.
The summer season was bustling. Most of the guests were locals, particularly from Tbilisi. Recently, we are recieving Jewish visitors.
We have loyal customers that enjoy our products. We continue to actively operate on the market, so the number of customers is growing. Additionally, we are highly active on social media, placing considerable emphasis on effective marketing," the manager of the wine cellar notes.
Natia Lolua also speaks about the company’s performance, emphasizing that it produces 300,000 bottles of wine annually.
«We produce various, traditional and new wines from Racha-Lechkhumi local varieties. At this stage we have no plans to expand the export market. We are set to carry out exports to the USA and Germany. We are also present in the local market, the average price per bottle of wine varies from 25 to 50 GEL», says Natia Lolua.
Note: the winery is located in the village of Tchrebało in the municipality of Ambrolauri. The area of vineyards is 10 hectares. It is located in a historic building of 1896 on the banks of the river Aski, and the vineyard is grown in the village of Zhoshkha, on the right bank of the river Rioni.
The owners of the company are descendants of the founders of the village of Tchrebalo, which became the reason for the start of a wine factory and cellar in the historic building of the village of Tchrebalo. «Tchrebalo Wine Cellar» produces 6 kinds of kvevri, dry and natural-sweet wines from the selected vineyards of Racha-Lechkhumi.
