With the backing of the National Wine Agency and the coordination of the agency's American marketing firm "Colangelo & Partners," 25 wines from various Georgian companies triumphed at the Texas State Sommelier Conference (TEXSOM) international wine awards in the United States. These wines were awarded with platinum, gold, silver, and bronze medals.  At the TEXSOM competition, the wines of 50 Georgian companies that are already available on the US market were showcased.

The success of Georgian wine in such a prestigious international competition not only signifies its superior quality but also fosters global promotion and sales expansion.

Out of the 25 winning wines, one wine was awarded the prestigious platinum medal, while five wines received gold medals, ten wines were honored with silver medals, and nine wines achieved bronze medals. (About the winning wines, see the link:  Texsom).

TEXSOM was established in 2005 as the Texas Sommelier Conference with the aim of elevating professional standards and advancing education for sommeliers in the region. The conference subsequently evolved into a highly significant international event within the wine industry.  Since 2014, an annual international wine competition has been incorporated into the conference. The esteemed jury comprises wine professionals and sommeliers from various countries across the globe.

It should be noted that with the organization support of the National Wine Agency, a prominent showcase of Georgian wine will be held during the three-day TEXSOM conference scheduled for August 2024. This grand event will gather renowned wine experts and professionals from the industry.
