The import of second-hand clothing into Georgia is getting more expensive. According to 2025 figures, 11,653 tons of second-hand clothing, valued at $ 45 million were imported into the country compared to11,692 tons worth $40 million in 2024.

As per the 2025 data, Georgia imported the most second-hand clothing from Turkey (USD 19.5 million — 4 590 tons). The U.S. ranked second by value (USD 6.4 million - 460 tons), and the UK by volume (USD 2.6 million - 1040 tons).

In 2025, Georgia's import of 1 kg of second-hand clothing cost an average of $3.9, while in 2021 the average import cost was $2.6 per kg. In the last 5 years, Georgia's import of second-hand clothing has become more expensive by 50%.
