The first Starbucks store in Georgia will reportedly open in Axis Towers on Chavchavadze Avenue in Tbilisi, a source told Commersant.
It was reported about Starbucks' entry into the Georgian market last year. The brand is managed by the Kuwaiti conglomerate Alshaya Group, the Starbucks franchise holder for Georgia, the Middle East, and Turkey, and its Turkish representation will be responsible for its operations in the Georgian market.
Initially, the brand is set to launch stores in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Batumi. Over the next 7-8 years, there's talk of opening as many as 50 locations across Georgia.
