Businessman Davit Khidasheli is set to start the construction of the sanatorium "Libani" and the resort "Akhtala" in September. The businessman confirmed this information in the air of the radio "Commersant", but Khidasheli refrains from specifying additional details.


Five years ago, within the framework of the state project "50 properties for your hotel", the government of Georgia sold two important facilities - sanatorium "Libani" and resort "Akhtala" to the  "Global Victory Georgia" company registered in the Arab Emirates through an auction.

According to the National Agency of Public Registry, the current owner of a 100% share in

Global Victory Georgia LLC is Global Victory Investments Limited registered in the United Arab Emirates, the company director is Irakli Khuchua, a citizen of Georgia and Russia. Commersant found out that the company directorate also includes businessman Davit Khidasheli.

The former "Sanatorium Libani " located in the climate-balneological resort of Libani was sold at an auction with 22 bids for GEL1,003,000 in March 2018.


"In a few years, built in the first half of the 19th century in the Empire style a renovated hotel with at least 70 rooms will accept first vacationers. The hotel will have a restaurant, open and closed swimming pool and its own parking lot for 40 cars. The investor will pour GEL 8,000,000 into the hotel," the Ministry of Economic Development states.

Three months later, in June the National Property Agency sold the unique balneological resort "Akhtala" for GEL 3,760,000.

"A 120-room hotel-complex of modern standards will be built on the territory, for this purpose GEL 12,000,000 will be invested," the Ministry states, the rehabilitation of the resort is expected to be completed in 2-3 years.

According to out information, the construction of the resorts was delayed due to the pandemic.
