Car export market is stable. Cars from Georgia are mainly exported to Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. The Association of Auto Importers says that no significant changes are observed.
"The market is stable. Cars are exported. They are sold both for export and on the domestic market. Demand from the Georgian customers has not changed. Cars are mainly sent to Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. This month, a larger amount was sold to Kyrgyzstan’- says Lasha Darbaiseli, Chairman of the Association of Auto Importers.
As for the most in-demand cars, in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstam cars with internal combustion engines are mainly sold.
Demand for electric vehicles is lowas these countries lack the necessary infrastructure. Demand for hybrid cars is also low. We asked the chairman of the board of the Association of Auto Importers explain such a low demand.
„Hybrid cars are not in demand because these countries do not have a good car service as well as qualified mechanics to repair them. As for brands, small Hyundai and Toyota cars are mainly exported there. They order Mazda, but more often Toyota with combustion engine," Lasha Darbaiseli notes.
