Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban has gifted a horse to the President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, according to Orban's Facebook page.

On Monday, December 18, Erdogan visited Hungary to conduct and strengthen official contacts. It was during the meeting between Orban and Erdogan that the former gifted him a horse. At the same time, Erdogan presented Orban with an electric car.

The Prime Minister of Hungary is known for often following the Turkish leader in political decisions. Specifically, Hungary, following Türkiye's lead, blocks Sweden's accession to NATO.

At the end of October, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan submitted an application for consideration by the parliament. The document was sent to the relevant committee, which did not approve it. Later, it became known that on November 16, the committee postponed negotiations on this bill.

Meanwhile, Viktor Orban stated that Hungary's approval through parliamentary ratification is a mere formality, as the matter has already been discussed and resolved in committees.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, Tobias Billström, recently announced that Türkiye plans to approve the country's application for NATO membership in the coming weeks.
