Iran has outlined three conditions for restarting negotiations with the United States, including guarantees against renewed war, recognition of its nuclear fuel cycle and compensation.
Iran has put forward three conditions to the United States for the possible resumption of negotiations, according to the Lebanese television channel Al Mayadeen, citing its correspondent in Tehran.
According to the report, Tehran’s demands include guarantees that hostilities will not resume, recognition of Iran’s right to the full nuclear fuel cycle, and the payment of compensation.
On February 28, the United States and Israel launched a large-scale military operation against Iran. Israeli officials said the strikes were aimed at preventing Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Washington also threatened to destroy Iran’s naval forces and defense industry and called on the country’s population to overthrow the current government.
Iranian authorities, however, stated earlier that while military aggression against the country continues, discussing anything other than retaliatory actions by Iran is inappropriate.
