The so-called Rike Jars do not fit into the urban development of the city, they are a dysfunctional, garbage dump - this ugliness should be dismantled and a new project of the same size should be built in its place, - the Secretary General of the Georgian Dream, Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, told journalists.
When asked what should be built instead of the Rike Jars, Kaladze said that the details will be discussed in the future. Kaladze said that a hotel may also be built in its place.
"It does not fit into the urban development of the city in any way, it is a dysfunctional, untidy, garbage dump, and accordingly, a good project needs to be developed that will fit beautifully into the urban area and will be functional. It will be dismantled and a project of the same size will be implemented, it may be in a different form. We are not saying that a new territory should be allocated and a new building should be built there. The aforementioned ugliness should be dismantled and a new project of the same size should be built in the place where the building stood... maybe even a hotel. We'll see," Kaladze said.
