The Civil Aviation Agency has granted permission to the low-cost airline Wizz Air to operate regular flights on a new route connecting Georgia with Venice, Italy.

The new Venice–Kutaisi–Venice service will begin with the start of the winter navigation season. According to the airline’s application, flights will commence on December 2 and operate twice a week, every Tuesday and Saturday.

Currently, Wizz Air flies from Georgia to 23 destinations with around 72 weekly flights. In the first nine months of this year alone, the airline carried 1,075,585 passengers, maintaining its position as the market leader in Georgia’s aviation sector.
