Georgian airports report a 33% increase in passenger traffic in January-July 2024 compared to the post-pandemic levels. According to the Civil Aviation Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, in January-July, the airports of Georgia served more than 4 million passengers with regular and non-regular flights that is 28% more compared to 7 months of 2023, and 80% more than in the same period of 2022.

Statistics show that Georgian airports served 3,061,750 passengers in January-July 2019, 2,263,872 passengers in January-July 2022, 3,180,226 passengers in January-July 2023, and 4,066,142 passengers in January-July 2024.


As per the January-July 2024 data, Tbilisi International Airport served 2,643,874 passengers that is 34% more than in January-July 2023. In January-July 2023, Tbilisi International Airport served 1,969,343 passengers, 1,515,931 passengers in the same period of 2022, and 2,254,691 passengers in January-July 2019. The statistics show a 17% increase in passenger flow in 7 months of 2024 compared to the same period of 2019, and a 74% increase compared to the same period in 2022.

Compared to January-July 2019, Batumi International Airport saw a 39% increase in passenger flow in January-July 2024, Batumi International Airport handled 482,023 passengers that is 43% more compared to the same period of 2023, 54% more compared to the same period of 2022.


Batumi International Airport served 336,250 passengers in 7 months of 2023, 313,032 passengers in January-July 2022, and 347,765 passengers in January-July 2019.

In January-July 2024, Kutaisi International Airport reported a 105% increase in passenger flow compared to the pre- pandemic levels. According to the Civil Aviation Agency, in January-July the airportr saw an 8% increase in passenger flow compared to the same period of 2023, while compared to the same period of 2022- a 118% increase.

Kutaisi International Airport served 449,700 passengers in 7 months of 2019, 422,000 passengers in January-July 2022, 856,471 passengers in 7 months of 2023, 921,029 passengers in the same period of 2024.
