According to the National Bank of Georgia, the number of payment cards in circulation in Georgia reached 569,572 in March 2023 while the number of debit cards in circulation stood at 7,473,387 million.
Compared to last year, the number of debit cards have increased, but the amount of credit cards has decreased. In February 2022, 827,966 credit cards and 6,273,593 debit cards were in circulation.
144 092 credit cards are VISA, 94 088 units are Mastercard, 331 392 - others.
Debit cards are distributed as follows: VISA - 2 329 294 units, Mastercard - , 93 974 517 units, others - 1 169 576.
