In February, cash demand declined by GEL 15.9 million, as per NBG monthly review, refinancing loans increased by GEL 130.0 million compared to last month. The one-day loan balance increased by GEL 22.8 million.

Apart from that, in February, certificates of deposit with a nominal volume of 20 million GEL were placed and covered. There was no purchase of treasury securities in the secondary market. In total, in February, the amount of net debt of banks increased by GEL 152.8 million and by the end of the period, it stood at GEL 2,193.5 million.

Due to the increase in national currency deposits, the M3 money supply increased by GEL 441.8 million per month in February. M2 monetary aggregate volume increased by GEL 471.4 million.
