Deputy Minister of Economy Mariam Kvrivishvili expects that the country will set a new record for tourism revenues this year.

"By the end of 2025, according to our current forecast, which has already been presented to the private sector, the country will set a new record and the budget will receive $4.7 billion in revenue from tourism. This will be a new history created by the private sector jointly with us. We will definitely continue to boost the industry’s sustainable and stable development in very close collaboration with the private sector," Mariam Kvrivishvili stresses.

According to the National Tourism Administration, tourism revenue in 2024 hit a record high of $4,425.4 million that is 7.3% more compared with the previous year. Apart from that, travel revenue increased significantly in the fourth quarter of 2024, reaching $963.7 million that is 10.3% more than in the fourth quarter of last year.
