“For us, meetings with representatives of the business community are crucially important each time, as they provide a valuable opportunity to exchange views and information, which in turn assists the government in shaping future policies,” stated Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during his address at the Business Association of Georgia (BAG) conference.

The Prime Minister noted that the past four years have been extraordinary for Georgia in terms of economic growth, with an average annual increase of 9.4%. The country continues to uphold stability and steady development across all sectors.

Last year, we held a similar meeting where we discussed economic development trends as well as the political situation. I am pleased to report that, after a year, we have sustained both stability and consistent progress across all areas. The last four years have been exceptional in terms of economic performance, with an average annual growth rate of 9.4% from 2021 to 2024; that’s the highest on the entire European continent and within the wider region. We are proud to have maintained this high rate of growth into this year. According to data from January to July, the economy grew by 8%, which remains the leading figure across Europe and our neighbouring regions,” the Prime Minister concluded.
