The European Commission has published its economic growth forecasts for the European Union and candidate countries.

According to the report, compared to the forecast published in the spring, Georgia's economic growth forecast has increased by 1.3 percentage points and now stands at 7.3%.


With these new figures, Georgia ranks first among European Union candidate countries.


The European Commission has also revised upwards its expected economic growth for the European Union as a whole, which is now projected to be 1.4% this year, up from the 1.1% forecast in the spring.
