In 10 months of 2023, 56 tons of condoms (vulcanized rubber contraceptives) worth $2,312,480 were imported into Georgia. According to Sakstat, the largest amount was imported from Russia (20 tons worth $1,629,700).
The top five also includes Latvia, Germany, Malaysia and China.
11 tons of condoms worth $947,050 were exported from Georgia in January-October. 7 tons to Armenia, 4 tons to Belarus.
In 10 months of 2022, about 50 tons of condoms worth $2,147,450 were brought to Georgia (the top five were Russia, Germany, Latvia, Kazakhstan and India) and 20 tons in the amount of $ 1,671,490 were exported from the country.
Last year Georgia exported condoms to Armenia and Belarus.
In the last 10 years, condoms import has soared by 157%. In 2013, 41 tons of vulcanized rubber contraceptives worth $ 899,420 were imported to Georgia.
