According to financier Vasil Revishvili, if the country suffers from a fiscal crisis, then an economic crisis will be inevitable.
The financier believes that with the suspension of the IMF program, Georgia no longer has an arbiter who would be a convincing institution and often an impetus for the state and its leaders to take the right steps.
"The problem with the suspension of the IMF program is not that we don't have an objective counter-arbiter, but that we don't have an objective judge or arbitrator." This program has provided monetary assistance to our country for decades, but more importantly, it has provided technical assistance, expertise, and forced to make some concessions ensuring that the right reforms and the right steps are taken by the state.
Even if the current political crisis abates, I fear that it will develop into financial. The economic crisis is already somewhere in the middle. "If a fiscal crisis happen, an economic crisis is inevitable," says the financier.
