The Food Safety Agency has conducted epizootological monitoring among domestic and wild animals susceptible to the disease in the territories of the Aghstafa, Gazakh, Tovuz, Balakan, Gakh, Zagatala, Samukh districts, taking into account the registration of small animal plague in Nizhny Kartli region of Georgia.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the Agency, during the monitoring from March 13 to March 29 of this year, 845 diagnostic samples of small cattle aged 6-12 months were received in 195 individual or farm farms located in 65 settlements classified by random sampling to border areas. Clinical observations were also carried out among domestic and wild animals in natural areas in the districts.

The import of small cattle from the territory of Georgia in Azerbaijan, as well as transit through the territory of Azerbaijan, were temporarily restricted in accordance with the Code of Land Animal Health of the World Organization for Animal Health.
