According to the 2023 data, Armenia has the highest average monthly salary in the region - $623 followed by Russia with $502, and Georgia with $487.
Among six countries in the region, Iran and Azerbaijan have the lowest average wages at $271 and $372 respectively.
Sakstat reports that in the first quarter of 2023, the average monthly nominal salary in Georgia increased by 18.7 percent (by GEL 270.1) compared to the corresponding period of last year and stood at GEL 1,716.6. In the first quarter of 2023, the average salary of women made GEL 1,375.7, while men earned GEL 2,053.4 per month.
